At Howden Park Centre there is almost always a busy hubbub of activity, be it art performances, music, dance, drama, exhibitions, or workshops and yes, at the heart of it all, is the food of course. At the Bistro it is not uncommon to see corporate types having a quiet breakfast or families slip in and out for a light lunch. Those who believe nothing beats the excitement of eating out at the park could choose from the takeaway selection.

Head Chef Scott Kirkham has devised a menu to suit all palates and you could perhaps begin the day with a breakfast of creamy scotch porridge with candied sultanas, warm fruit compote with crème fraiche and orange marmalade or floured baps with grilled maple cured bacon. For lunch, pork and bacon burger and vegetable lasagna are two good options. A monthly changing dinner carte could include homemade pheasant and ham hock pie with piccalilli or homemade sweet potato ravioli.

Huge glass windows allow diners to enjoy panoramic views over the surrounding parks and woodland, adding a sweeping touch of tranquillity.
